Personal Development 101 – Module 1 The Most Important Tip For Achieving Your Life Purpose
The most important tip for achieving your life purpose is simply this:
Take daily, consistent action.
Now we’ve only just begun this course, but it’s extremely important that you take action daily, which is why right now there are two (related) things you should be doing daily:
- Set Aside A Time For Personal Development. I like to do it first thing in the morning, others like to do it right after work or perhaps at lunch. Find out what works for you – but set aside and dedicate time for the lessons I am sending you. I promise you, based on the results I’ve seen in my own life as well as with people I’ve worked with, you will see results, and you will jump start your personal development
- Reading Your Life Purpose.
Now, I hope you’ve been reading it to yourself every day, but if you’re having trouble reading it daily, don’t worry – it’s a very common issue, and I want to help address it for you.
Let’s work together and talk briefly about the most common problem I hear about when people aren’t reading their purpose when they are supposed to – they just plain forget!
I’m guilty of this myself, so I’ve come up with some strategies that have worked for me – and that I hope work for you.
If you’re finding it difficult to remember to read your purpose, you may want to consider:
- Is It Conveniently Located For You? One common problem I’ve found is people type their purpose up on their computer, but then they close the file and forget to read it. I love all things digital, but you may want to consider printing out a physical copy of it. Mine is handwritten – it really makes me think about what I’m writing down, and gives me a real sense of authenticity when I read it. You don’t have to – printing it out or leaving it on your computer may work for you, but if it’s not, then give this strategy a shot. Having a physical copy means I can easily get to it, without having to boot up my computer, find the file, etc.
- Is It Somewhere You’ll See It? Another reason I find people forget is they will write it up and then put it somewhere like their wallet so that it’s located near them – but then they don’t see it and forget it’s there. I keep mine in a binder, and before I sleep I read it and then leave the binder open with that page. That way first thing in the morning I see it, read it, and put it away. You may want to similarly consider leaving yours out overnight some place visible – perhaps even on top of your wallet, if that’s where you are carrying it.
- A Morning Ritual “Trigger” – Some people like to have a specific action they do before or after they read their life purpose. For example, you might decide to do it immediately after brushing your teeth in the morning, and then again immediately after brushing your teeth at night. Then every time you brush your teeth, you’ll start to remember that it’s also time to read your life purpose.
If you’re having trouble remembering to read it, try these strategies. If you have any other questions, let me know and I’ll use your feedback to make the course better!
Keep in touch, and please email me anytime. I’ll be in touch very soon. I’ll email you in a few days to follow up and make sure you did this exercise!

P.S. We’ll be talking about dreams and purpose a bit in this course, but for a really thorough read on the subject you want to check out my review of Reclaim Your Dreams by Jonathan Mead. Click through to get all the details on what’s discussed.
Jonathan is someone who has bounced back from some unbelievably challenging situations (you’ll have to see this story for yourself) and now every day is coaching people and changing their lives. Reclaim Your Dreams by Jonathan Mead.
