Personal Development 101 – Module 8 Your Bucket List
Hi, and welcome to week eight of Personal Development 101!
- Sid Savara
Quick Review
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 8 weeks! Let’s quickly review how we got here!
- We defined your dreams
- We put together a life purpose/mission statement (to be read daily)
- We picked one goal to focus on
- We made time for yourself
- You should be (hopeflly) beginning each day with your most important tasks
- We tracked your time to see where your time was going
- We discussed your values
- We discussed your support network
- And finally, today, we’ll look ahead with your bucket list!
Your Bucket List
As we close out these 8 weeks we’ve spend together, I want you to end this course looking forward, and with hope.
After thinking over a few different ideas, I finally felt the most fitting way for you to move forward after Personal Development 101 was with a bucket list.
A bucket list a list of things to do before you die, “kick the bucket” – those hopes, dreams and adventures you’ve always wanted to have.
This week’s exercise you don’t have to do at one sitting =).
Exercise 8 -Your Bucket List
- One question: What Are 100 Things You Want To Do Before You Die?
If you’d like a printable worksheet with these questions, you can get it here – Module 8 My Bucket List (PDF). Don’t feel like you have to write down 100 things. You may have 20. You may have 200. You can write down as many or as little as you want.
Looking Ahead
I want to leave you with thoughts of hope for the future. I truly believe that my experiences accomplishing some of my dreams have been some of the riches, most fulfilling memories in my life. I want you to have those same experiences with your dreams, and I hope you continue to get value out of these exercises and the answers you have put down on the worksheets. The course ends here, but I hope the small amount of time you put into the course now enriches you and your life for a long time to come.
Thank you so much for being a part of Personal Development 101. It has truly been my pleasure putting this course together and hearing all the feedback from my readers these past few weeks. I am truly thankful for the part you have played in my life.
If you enjoyed this last module, and want to take it a step further I have one last recommendation for you. I just recently discovered an absolutely amazing book by Marelisa called How To Live Your Best Life- The Essential Guide for Creating and Achieving Your Life List. It takes you step by step through this same exercise of creating a bucket list, but in far greater detail – and gives concrete strategies you can use to truly live the life you desire. Most people don’t even get as far as you already have with a written list, so I applaud you – you’ve come a long way, and I know it’s going to make a positive difference in your life.
Finally, thanks go out to my friends Jonathan Mead, Jonathan Wells and Leo Babauta, authors of Reclaim Your Dreams, The Simple Guide to a Minimalist Life, and 7 Simple Steps. This course wouldn’t have been the same without their support, and allowing me to borrow some inspiration for the exercises.
Enjoy your week, and I’ll talk to you soon!
Sincerely,
Sid Savara
