How To Install WordPress With Fantastico and CPanel

Up until this point you should have already signed up for WordPress Hosting. If you haven’t, you need to go back and read that section.
  1. Log into CPanel.
  2. Click on the Fantastico Icon.
  3. On the left side click WordPress.
  4. Blog Name: Choose something relatively small, as bookmarks are typically limited to a certain number of characters.
  5. Description: Describe your blog out loud. You can always change this, but it’s best to have some direction.
  6. Go ahead and fill in all the other fields.
  7. At this point, you are technically done. You have a blog. If you want you can stop, but I say lets push through and really set everything up professionally. To login, just follow the instructins in the email sent to you – basically, visit mydomain.com/wp-admin and type in your login information. You will probably have to wait at this point, and most likely nothing shows up at mydomain.com. Wait another 24 hours and try again. If your blog is not yet up, wait until it is before continuing on with this guide.

At this point you may need to Migrate Your Old Posts from WordPress.com to your new Self Hosted WordPress Blog. Click through and I’ll show you how to do that.

If you don’t need to migrate your blog, go ahead and skip to some of these free services I recommend you sign up for when starting your blog.  You’ll want them so you can track your visitors and subscribers, and also offer email updates – all for free!
