Yeah, it was really irritating when I used to use it years ago. Here's a good discussion on Ask Metafilter about it ;) http://ask.metafilter.com/81355/Hooked-up-my-iP...

Excellent point. I do not have a tape player in my car, only a CD player and FM Radio =)

Although, I also do not like tape adapters - the quality is not as good as an auxiliary input, but I think in general they are at least as good as FM tuners. One other irritation with tape adapters is that on podcasts and audiobooks, they some "smart" car stereos try to "flip" the tape at quiet parts of the book, or between chapters leading to a couple seconds of clicking now and then. It gets really irritating after a little while, especially in the middle of a podcast episode.

Sarah,

Thanks for your feedback. You're right, eating is definitely one area where many people are short sighted - especially since some of the effects of poor eating may not be felt until many years later, when it is too late to change our habits!

This is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for a very clear and thorough explanation of what we all do, and don't all realize. The example that comes to my mind is eating ~ we usually eat whatever is cheap and available, rather than taking the time to shop for groceries and prepare foods that will give us energy and help us live a long life. This post has given me a lot to think about, and the graph was especially enlightening.
