One other irritation with tape adapters is that on podcasts and audiobooks, they some "smart" car stereos try to "flip" the tape at quiet parts of the book, or between chapters leading to a couple seconds of clicking now and then. The example that comes to my mind is eating ~ we usually eat whatever is cheap and available, rather than taking the time to shop for groceries and prepare foods that will give us energy and help us live a long life.
